INTRO Recently helped a similar business solve the challenge of customizing their PCB for industrial applications, turning a frustrating process into a smoother and more effective solution that supported their business goals. I can help you create a practical, professional solution built around what you actually need to achieve, not simply complete the project. MIDDLE I noticed you specifically mentioned ensuring electromagnetic compatibility and component longevity. That is important because the right approach here is not just about PCB design; it is about creating a robust, user-friendly solution that performs reliably in demanding environments. I bring experience in PCB design and firmware development, and we have 75+ 5-star reviews on similar projects and rank in the top 1% among 75 million users! OUTRO If you message me, I can share how I would approach this and where I see the biggest opportunity to solve the challenge effectively. Regards, VutomiM1

I've spent 20+ years working across embedded systems and PCB design, from schematic capture in Altium and KiCad to firmware on STM32 and Arduino-class MCUs. I do switch-input and digital I/O circuits often, plus the EMC and thermal-derating work industrial boards need, including debounce logic and long-life part selection. The hard part is keeping the button signal clean in a noisy industrial panel with motors and contactors switching nearby. - Rework the input stage in the schematic: RC or Schmitt-trigger debounce ahead of the GPIO pin, TVS diode and series resistor on the button line for ESD/EMC. - Update the PCB layout in Altium or KiCad, keep the switch trace off noisy copper, add ground pour and filter caps near the connector. - Deliver Gerbers, drill files, and a pick-and-place file ready for your fab and assembly house. - Build the BOM with industrial-temp parts (-40 to 85C) and list an alternate for each critical part. - Write a firmware sample on your MCU that reads the GPIO pin with software debounce as backup and toggles a test output. You'll get the updated schematic and PCB source in Altium or KiCad, the Gerber/BOM package, and the firmware sample with a short readme on flashing and testing it. One question: what MCU or PCB is this built on now, so I can match footprints and confirm which GPIO pins are free? I can start right away.
