We are looking for an experienced electronics / embedded hardware freelancer to help assemble and test 5 pilot units of an ESP32-S3 based IoT mini controller. The PCB/PCBA boards are already designed and manufactured by JLCPCB. The firmware file is also ready. This project is not for PCB design and not for firmware development from scratch. The main task is physical assembly, firmware flashing via USB-TTL, and basic bench testing. The final goal is to prepare 5 working pilot units in the correct order: Milestone 1: Assemble, flash and test 1 pilot unit first. Milestone 2: After the first unit is validated successfully, assemble, flash and test the remaining 4 units using the same process. Scope of work: * Mount the PCB/PCBA into an IP65/IP66 enclosure * Connect the external [login to view URL] Wi-Fi antenna * Prepare simple 24V DC input wiring * Prepare output wiring for Relay / PhotoMOS / Open Collector * Flash the firmware via USB-TTL * Perform a basic 24V DC power-on test * Test the outputs with a multimeter * Confirm that the device powers on correctly * Send clear photos and a short video proof of the working unit * Repeat the same process for the remaining 4 units after the first unit is approved Important technical notes: * The controller uses ESP32-S3-WROOM-1U with external [login to view URL] antenna * The outputs are dry-contact / signal-level outputs, not load drivers for motors or pumps * No PCB redesign is required * No GPIO remapping is required * No firmware logic changes are required unless a flashing issue is discovered and discussed first Preferred experience: * ESP32 / ESP32-S3 hardware * USB-TTL firmware flashing * 24V DC electronics * Basic enclosure assembly * Multimeter testing * Relay / dry contact / open collector outputs * Clean wiring and small prototype assembly We can provide: * 5 JLCPCB PCBA boards * Final firmware file * Schematic PDF * PCB photos * GPIO mapping * BOM / Gerber / JLCPCB production package if needed * Main components that remain inside the controller, such as enclosure, [login to view URL] antenna, cable glands, wires, ferrules and PCB spacers The freelancer should preferably already have basic lab tools such as: * USB-TTL 3.3V adapter * 24V DC bench/test power supply * Multimeter * Basic soldering/wiring tools * Heat-shrink tubing, labels, screws or small local consumables Please mention in your proposal: 1. Your experience with ESP32 / ESP32-S3 devices 2. Your experience with USB-TTL flashing 3. Your experience with 24V DC testing 4. Whether you already have a 24V test power supply, USB-TTL adapter and multimeter 5. Your estimated price for Milestone 1: first pilot unit 6. Your estimated price for Milestone 2: remaining 4 units 7. Your estimated timeline after receiving the parts Expected timeline: * First pilot unit: 3–5 days after receiving the parts * Remaining 4 units: 7–10 days after approval of the first unit Detailed files will be shared only with the selected freelancer.

Hi I am an embedded systems engineer with over 12 years of experience in ESP32/ESP32-S3 based IoT devices, small prototype assembly, firmware flashing, and bench validation for 24V DC control electronics. I can assemble the first ESP32-S3-WROOM-1U pilot unit into the enclosure, connect the [login to view URL] antenna, prepare clean input/output wiring, flash the provided firmware through USB-TTL, and verify power-up and Relay/PhotoMOS/open-collector outputs with a multimeter before sending photos and a short working video. I already have a 24V DC bench supply, 3.3V USB-TTL adapters, multimeters, soldering/wiring tools, heat-shrink, ferrules/labels and normal small lab consumables. I have worked with ESP32 flashing and troubleshooting many times, including cases where boot/flash mode, UART wiring, power stability, or enclosure wiring needed careful checking. My suggested split is Milestone 1: $80 for the first assembled, flashed and tested pilot unit, and Milestone 2: $170 for the remaining 4 units after your approval of the first process. Timeline after receiving all parts would be 3-5 days for the first unit, then about 7-10 days for the remaining units depending on approval timing and any small mechanical adjustments needed. I can also support minor firmware flashing/debug findings if something unexpected appears during validation. Please contact me to discuss details.

hi have bunch of esp32-s3 devkit, avaiable for testing, perhaps your are looking for fizibality of low and high tempratures working, this edge is with me, i am working hydrabad pakistan, which known for extreme hot areas of the world, currently temprature is 40C/105F. i may test those here, we test the builtin LED on devkit to perform test on it, which may reduce your pcb shipping cost, we also run some computation tasks on esp that may show is performance over the range of temprature, also if the perfarmace degrade on high tempratures, the only thing may left is distace it may cover over wifi on range of temprature. if frimware is already written, then its also fine to test the boards you proves mile stones are mentioned

Hello, This project aligns very well with my background in embedded systems, ESP32 development, firmware deployment, electronics prototyping, and hardware validation. I have extensive experience with ESP32 and ESP32-S3 based devices, including custom IoT controllers, industrial monitoring systems, relay-based automation products, and hardware-to-cloud integrations. I regularly work with USB-TTL flashing, GPIO validation, power supply testing, communication interfaces, and production-ready prototype assembly. For your pilot units, I can follow a structured validation process: enclosure assembly, antenna installation, wiring preparation, firmware flashing, 24V DC power-up verification, output testing with a multimeter, photo/video documentation, and final checklist verification before approval. I already have the required development and test equipment, including USB-TTL adapters, bench power supplies, multimeters, soldering tools, and electronics assembly equipment. The staged approach of validating the first unit before assembling the remaining four is exactly how I normally handle pilot production runs to minimize risk and ensure repeatability. Once I review the schematic, PCB photos, GPIO mapping, and firmware flashing procedure, I can provide a precise timeline and cost estimate for both milestones. I would be happy to discuss the hardware details and validation procedure before starting.

Hello, This looks like a great fit. I have 20+ years of software development and engineering experience, including embedded systems, ESP32 devices, hardware bring-up, firmware flashing, and bench testing. I've worked with USB-TTL flashing, 24V DC systems, relays, and enclosure-based IoT products. I already have a 24V power supply, USB-TTL adapter, multimeter, and the tools needed for assembly and testing. What stands out to me is that the project is focused on execution and validation, not redesign. The biggest risk is usually the first unit—making sure the flashing, wiring, and testing process is solid and repeatable. Once that's confirmed, the remaining four units should be straightforward. I'm comfortable starting with Milestone 1, documenting the process, and then completing the remaining units after approval. Happy to discuss pricing and timing after reviewing the files. Best, Nathan
