Both will ride on the same architecture, centred on an Orange Pi Zero2, and must accurately track voltage, current, power, energy (kWh), power factor and frequency. Communications are set: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and RS-232 all have to be live so the installer can choose the most convenient channel. A cloud dashboard will be the primary user interface, yet the meters must also stream clean text data through the local serial terminal for on-site diagnostics.
