I'm building a fleet of autonomous, solar-powered IoT nodes that track air temperature, humidity, and soil moisture, then relay the readings through a self-organising LoRa mesh to a single internet-connected gateway. Each node is built around a Heltec V3 (ESP32-S3 + SX1262) mounted on a custom two-layer PCB that already handles solar charging, switched sensor power, a physical ON/OFF switch, and an external-chip-free autoreset tied to the ESP32 watchdog. What I need is a PCB designer who can take a complete, documented design brief through to fabrication-ready files for PCBWay PCBA turn-key. Firmware and assembly are handled on my end. Deliverables Schematic (PDF + source file) PCB layout Gerber files + drill file ready to upload to PCBWay BOM with LCSC part numbers for PCBA turn-key Pick & Place (CPL) file About the brief A full design brief is provided: complete netlist, BOM with LCSC part numbers, layout constraints, mounting hole positions, and both official Heltec V3 datasheets. If your experience tells you something in the design is wrong or could be improved, flag it and we'll review it together before finalising. I'd rather catch a mistake now than after fabrication. Hands-on experience with 2-layer SMD PCB design, buck converter layouts, and PCBWay/LCSC workflows is essential.

Hi I am an embedded systems engineer with over 16 years of experience. I have extensive experience taking documented IoT and sensor hardware designs through schematic capture, 2-layer SMD PCB layout, power routing, buck converter layout, and fabrication-ready PCBWay/LCSC PCBA outputs. For your Heltec V3 solar LoRa mesh node, I can review the provided brief, netlist, BOM, layout constraints and datasheets first, then prepare the schematic, PCB layout, Gerbers, drill files, LCSC BOM and CPL files in the format needed for PCBWay turn-key assembly. I will also flag any issue I see with sensor power switching, solar/battery paths, buck converter layout, watchdog/autoreset wiring, mounting constraints or manufacturability before final files are generated. A couple of quick questions: do you prefer KiCad or another CAD source format, and are the board outline/mounting locations already final? Firmware is on your side, but I can still sanity-check pin usage and hardware behavior from a firmware bring-up perspective if needed. Please contact me to discuss details.

Solar-powered LoRa mesh with zero connectivity dependency — I've shipped exactly this architecture for a desert deployment in South Africa. That project used ESP32, RFID, and a fully offline solar stack to dispense water in a community 500km from the nearest city. The firmware handled power-loss recovery, quota enforcement, and mesh coordination without any internet. I can design your sensor nodes the same way — from the PCB layout and power management through to the LoRa mesh firmware and full prototype assembly. You get working hardware shipped to you, not just code. Let me know your sensor requirements and power budget, and I'll lay out the architecture that matches your deployment conditions.
