The subject plastics food tray made out of PC will have two initial iterations - worst case and load distribution (700 g) - worst case at the far end of support area, imagine tray with cup, food, silverware etc at 5 different locations (total weight 700g). Once you analyze these two cases, you would need to suggest possible design changes in thickness, local area changes to reduce overall weight by about 60-70g, maximum allowable deflection is 10mm at far end. We expect upto 3 design iterations. You will be supplied with CAD data, material data, boundary conditions details, design limitations. In case you need a new data for updated design, it can be supplied.
Follwing Design Changes are not allowed -
Changing top contour of the new tray (keep overall design since this is signed off by client)
Increasing height of the 2 ribs on the bottom nor altering their position
Adding extra reinforcement ribs on the bottom of the tray
