Full-Time English-Arabic Engineering Translator

For the next 15 months I will be producing a steady stream of engineering technical manuals that must meet strict compliance requirements in both English and Arabic. The role is full time, office-based in Surrey, so you will be working side-by-side with our engineers and compliance team to capture every specification, safety note and regulatory reference accurately. Day to day, you will translate new manuals as they are released, update existing revisions, and proofread bilingual layouts before they go to print. Because these documents underpin our regulatory submissions, terminology consistency and absolute fidelity to the source material are essential. Expect plenty of CAD diagrams, part lists and standards tables that have to remain perfectly aligned after translation. Key deliverables: • Final Arabic versions of each manual in the original InDesign / Word format and press-ready PDF • An evolving English-Arabic glossary of engineering terms we can reuse across projects • Weekly progress snapshot summarising pages completed, pending queries and any terminology decisions A strong grasp of engineering vocabulary, experience with compliance documentation, and enough desktop-publishing skill to keep formatting intact will make this assignment a success.
