I run a salon and spa in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. In my business we are always forgetting key events and holidays, and thus missing the opportunity to have promotions and build our customer base. Sometimes we remember too late and then throw a lot of money at the situation and end up spending more than we make.
PROJECT - to create a promotions calendar based on the NIGERIAN calendar of holidays and events. This would include Independence Day, Religious Holidays (both Christian and Muslim), Summer vacation, Back to School, Mother's Day etc. The promotions can range from "10% discount for every xyz service" to a full out event/party to celebrate the day.
SCOPE - The calendar will detail what the promotion should be, the steps needed to prepare for the promotion, the estimated budget, the viability limits (ie don't spend more than this amount) and the expected outcome for us to measure against.
ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA - The calendar should be in excel or word (not PDF). Each event or promotion should have a schedule (how long it will take to plan, so we can begin on time), a budget, and an expected outcome. Expected outcome can be increase in clients, use of a coupon/discount, number of a particular service being bought, etc. We should aim to have at least one promotion every month, of any level. Promotions DO NOT HAVE TO be tied to existing holidays. For example, we could establish every third Saturday as 'Self Care Saturday' and offer a free add-on service. However, please don't miss any major holidays.
SCHEDULE for this project is 1 week, so please be able to meet this deadline.
REQUIREMENTS is someone that understands event planning (for high level estimates) and how promotions work in a business
