Our small nonprofit PTA group is a part of a consortium of community organizations in Shoreline, WA that hold a Back to School event every August for approximately 1000 kids and 500 families. We use an online database for registration and then export this data into Excel for additional processing.
We have an existing Master Family Template worksheet in our workbook along with a Master List where each registered family has their own row.
Each of the 500+ families needs their own sheet (with their specific info) to be created and printed in advance of the event. We are looking for a Macro or Macros that will do the following:
1. Create one unique sheet (500+) for each registered family that is named after the family's last name (and will have error checking for duplicate last names). Ideally, this Macro could be run for all of the existing families already registered (there's about 350) and have the ability to add new family sheet when new families are added.
2. Each newly created family sheet will recreate the existing Master Family Template.
3. Each newly created family sheet will input the specific family's Family Number into their respective family sheet so this doesn't have to be done by hand and all of their unique data will flow into their sheet.
4. Finally, all of the 500+ family sheets will be sorted alphabetically within the workbook.
We would need the macro work successfully by August 7th.
