Job Description:
This is a super easy project for someone that is not me. I can do things simply like calcs, sort, filters, builds, but nothing that requires me to read about how to in excel. I just need it to be created and then I can use it to then decide on project 2 and 3, I am visual so once I see how this first part lays out I can think about the next part.
I have an inventory sheet with quantities come to me daily with 1731 lines of products and their parts. However, I only need maybe 300-400 of those lines pulled out with their data on that line and put into another sheet for me to use to then have divided (part 2) into groupings that I need. Obviously my eyes cannot handle searching 1731 lines and going for what I want out of there (by product sku) so I believe the word I am looking for is to have the data parsed. I will be this weekend highlighting in the main sheet the sku# I need. But every day the sheet comes anew and every day I would have to do that. So step 1 is get just what I need in a main sheet for my daily use each day- as in I get to run something on the daily sheet or copy the daily sheet data into the special sheet that you build for me. Then Step 2 is for me to build other sheet outlines so that I can explain what I would like them to do, which is "If then" determinations of how I would like it to allot inventory, and I believe it would carry data. For example, the main sheet will show that we have pieces of a bed and other furniture, and I manually decide now what sets that I sell get that inventory. I have some pre-research to do before then to determine exactly how I want the sheet to think for me, so that will take me some time in April is my goal. There are a few more evolutions beyond Sheet 2 to make it what I call my magic sheet. Even though this a one off project, I would like to have someone who I could then call upon for future "ooo maybe this could happen" projects. I am excellent at my job, I just lack the experience and energy to learn excel and become anything above functional.
