Hi, If I understand correctly you need a button/shortkey that will take the values from the row where the selected cell is, open template workbook, fill variable fields with values of the selected row and saves it as a new file and new name containing maybe client name and date. Hi there, Your project looks interesting and I feel you've laid out the specs perfectly. I have created many different automated macros which copy various cells to different worksheets and completely different workbook files, and I feel a button activated macro would work nicely to copy the specific cells from the tracking log to the invoice template. A bit about my experience: I have over 15 years of corporate experience working in Excel creating advanced automated dashboards, reports, tools and calculators which included beautiful graphical displays of data/information and utilized algorithms and VBA coded macros of varying complexities. Task automation is one of my favorite things to code. Perhaps I could take a look at the tracking log as well as the invoice template to get a clear understanding of what would be required to code for the automation? If for some reason I felt that the project is too advanced for my skills, I will tell you right away to not waste any of your time. Hello, I can create Excel VBA macro which will do the requested automation, however only after I have checked tracking log file and invoice template file, I will be able to discuss more details of how the process will go and suggest the most convenient way for this automation. The questions which come to my mind at the moment, is for example whether this invoice template will be open when using log file (I can make it detect currently open file and if there isn't any, open it automatically) and if template should be saved after to some other location or just left for user to proceed further.
