I have an ordering list I use every week at the restaurant. I've written it so items that are grouped together in my inventory are also grouped together on my list that I fill out for orders.
my problem is that my list is in not the same order as my vendors ordering list. they have mixed products from paper to walk-in cooler items to the freezer items all mixed in together.
I was hoping that when I enter in on one spreadsheet all of the items I want to order let's say on tab 1, when I'm done I could click on tab 2 and they could be there as well.
the only difference is that on tab one as I enter them in in the order that I need to enter them in because of my inventory on tap to they would then be populated into that list but it wouldn't be in the same order as tab one.
it's kind of confusing. on my ordering sheet that I use for the company we ordered through they might have mayonnaise and then pickles and then paper products and then chicken wings... they have no rival reason for their list when you do your ordering. when I make my list out it's done in grouping so I could do all of my paper products and then move into the walk-in cooler and do all of my produce and then my meats and have them in groups.
so as I was saying in tap 1 I would like to have my list of products in my grouping for my restaurant but when I click on tab 2 all of the numbers that I've entered within translate into the proper order on the second one which would be in the order of my truck ordering.
an example would be when I am starting my list of ordering I walk into the cooler and I start with produce in the very first thing is tomatoes and the second thing is lettuce and so on. when I click on tab 2 the list from my vendor tomatoes might be 87th on their list and lettuce 237. I would like the amount of tomatoes I need to order that I have on line one translate over to line 87 on the second tab.
as well as lettuce online 2 on the first tab but when I click on the second tab lettuce that's much further down the list would translate its number to that list. that way when I open up my order form online I can just look at my list and all of my numbers will be in order of how the company online wants me to put the orders in. they obviously have no idea how my restaurant inventory of setup.
also I'd like to have a par setup on it as well so I can have a piece number of what I should have on hand and then how many I should order next to it.
I'm sure you'll have many questions. Please, I hope I explain this mildly coherently.
