Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF) - w distinction MS Computational Finance Financial time-series statistics I have data in the attached file. Unfortunately the data is positively skewed and has high kurtosis so calculating the Standard Deviation is quite meaningless. I would like someone to transform the data so it is normally distributed then calculate what the standard devation really is. And set this all up in excel so i can update the numebrs myself in future.

I didn't checked how much it's skewed. according to your statement in job ad, I have already made the s&p data transformed by Johnson equation and the resulting equation I put in excel for future referee.
