Early-Stage Fabric Garment Prototype

We are seeking an experienced product designer, textile specialist, tailor, or apparel developer to help us create an early-stage prototype for a unique new underwear concept. This is an opportunity to collaborate from the beginning of the design process and help transform an original idea into a functional, attractive, and production-ready physical product. Scope of Work: * Collaborate with us during the early concept and design-development stage. * Design a new style of underwear featuring a distinctive functional design element. * Recommend appropriate fabrics and materials, which may include silk, cotton, and other premium or performance-oriented textiles. * Create patterns, measurements, specifications, construction details, and technical drawings. * Develop one or more functional prototype samples. * Assist with product-development documentation that may support future trademark and patent filings, including detailed design specifications, patterns, and supporting materials. Ideal Qualifications: * Demonstrated experience designing physical apparel products, preferably underwear, lingerie, swimwear, or other fitted garments. * Strong knowledge of textiles, fabric behavior, fit, construction, and sewing techniques. * Experience working with silk, cotton, performance fabrics, and other premium materials. * Ability to turn an early-stage concept into a functional, aesthetically appealing prototype. * Experience creating tech packs, patterns, production specifications, and sample garments. * Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely throughout the concept-development process. Please share examples of relevant apparel, textile, prototype, or product-development work, along with a brief overview of your experience taking original concepts from idea through sample creation. All intellectual property, including concepts, designs, patterns, trademarks, patents, and related rights, will remain the exclusive property of our company. For an exceptional collaborator who makes meaningful contributions to the development of the concept, we may be open to discussing a longer-term role or potential participation in the project. Any such arrangement would be considered separately and documented in writing. The selected designer will be expected to sign an appropriate confidentiality and work-for-hire agreement.
