Hi, I'm Mercedes, a Sydney-based fashion designer. Part of my job is to be a fashion consultant and help clients build brands from scratch. Just to clarify, I DO NOT SEW, I do the instructions to manufacturer to do the sample for you.
I can help:
1) Identifying your client target audience, your proposal, your possible competitors, and how you can stand out with your product.
2) Creating a strategy plan to visualise how you should sell your product and what would be the message of your brand.
Then:
3) Creating a meaningful clothing collection that is related to your ideal client and satisfies their needs.
4) Helping with the fabrics, colour palettes, etc.
5) Creating mood boards and conceptual panels.
And finally with the manufacturing process:
6) Creating tech packs
7) Writing down all the specifications for the manufacturer.
8) Doing quality control tests for sampling production, etc.
Also, I am a garment technician and I have a solid knowledge of garment construction. I know the seams, machinery needed, and the garment processes involved in each piece making. I have experience working with China, Indonesia, India, Perú, etc, and I know what exactly manufacturers need to prepare firstly your samples, and then the final production.
I work with Adobe Illustrator and I can do flat sketches (front and back, with callouts for details) of your final designs using the real colour and texture of the fabric, drawing all the seams required.
Regards,
