I have a new modular product that attaches directly to commercial and residential walls, and I need a licensed Structural PE to confirm the wall-anchorage strategy and overall frame strength before we release it to production. The scope is a full structural load and anchorage analysis that shows the system is safe, serviceable, and installable in the field. What the study must cover • Static structural load combinations that include: dead loads, vertical gravity, eccentric/moment effects, connection loads, wall anchorage loads, and an explicit check of deflection limits. • Verification of installation-tolerance cases such as uneven fastening or misaligned brackets. • A safety-factor / overload review in line with current building-code practice. Key performance items I am most concerned about • Capacity of the wall anchorage. • Strength of the frame connections. • Finished (in-service) weight of each modular unit. • Stud spacing and fastener pattern options. • Mid-span and overall deflection under full service load. Deliverables 1. Calculation package (hand calcs or FEA output) that tracks every assumption, load path, and factor of safety. 2. Sketches or mark-ups that show required fastener patterns and any reinforcement plates, if needed. 3. Brief summary letter I can share with the fabrication and installation teams. Please include the software you plan to use (e.g., RISA, STAAD, SAP2000, or similar) and confirm your PE licensure jurisdiction. I’m ready to provide CAD files, material specs, and preliminary connection details as soon as you accept the job.

Hi Joseph W., Last week I completed a near-identical modular wall system review (anchors + frame), so I’m confident I can handle this really well. i would like to know the below. - What wall substrates and stud types will we anchor to (CMU, concrete, wood/metal studs), and any limits on edge distances? - What code basis/location should I design to (IBC/ASCE 7, wind/seismic), and target service deflection (e.g., L/240 or L/360)? I think we should. - Pre-qualify two anchor families (mechanical + adhesive) and include on-site proof test criteria to de-risk installability. - Add slotted bracket holes and a shim spec to absorb misalignment and uneven fastening; improves tolerance and serviceability. Lets follow a plan like this. - I review your CAD, materials, unit weights, stud spacing, and bracket details; confirm loads and eccentricities per module. - I build a RISA-3D/SAP2000 model + hand calcs for load paths, anchors, connection strength, and deflection; include tolerance cases. - I iterate fastener patterns for common stud spacings; optimize weight vs stiffness; document factors of safety and overload checks. - I deliver a clean calc package, marked sketches (patterns/reinforcement plates if needed), and a clear one-page summary for fab/install. Software: RISA-3D, SAP2000, SolidWorks Simulation, Hilti/Simpson Anchor Designer

Hello, ✔️ What are the maximum module dimensions, service loads, and intended wall substrates (wood studs, steel studs, CMU, concrete, etc.) for the anchorage verification? ✔️ Will the modular system be evaluated under residential-only loading conditions, or must the analysis address commercial occupancy requirements and multi-code anchorage scenarios? I have experience performing structural analysis and connection design for wall-mounted modular systems, steel assemblies, anchorage verification, and serviceability evaluations under building-code load combinations. I can review your CAD files and connection concepts to develop a full structural calculation package covering gravity, eccentric, and anchorage loads, stud spacing options, fastener patterns, deflection criteria, installation tolerances, and overload/safety-factor checks using engineering analysis and FEA-supported workflows. The deliverables can include calculation reports, reinforcement recommendations, connection sketches, and concise installation guidance suitable for fabrication, field installation, and product-release documentation. I would welcome a discussion to review the module geometry, material specifications, anticipated loading conditions, and required PE jurisdiction before beginning the structural evaluation. Best regards,

Hi, I went through your requirements and this is a proper structural engineering verification scope focused on anchorage safety and load path validation, not general CAD work. I can develop a full load and connection analysis covering static load combinations, eccentricity effects, deflection limits, and installation tolerance scenarios, with clear focus on wall anchorage capacity, frame joint strength, and real in-service behavior under full load conditions. My workflow will include structured calculations supported by either hand-calcs or FEA-based validation depending on what best suits your geometry, along with clearly documented assumptions, load paths, and safety factors aligned with current code practice. You will also receive installation-ready sketches indicating fastener patterns, reinforcement requirements if needed, and a concise engineering summary suitable for fabrication and field teams. Before proceeding, what wall substrates are you primarily targeting for anchorage—concrete, masonry, or timber/steel stud systems? Best Regards, Muskan

Hello, I've reviewed your project and understand you're looking for a licensed Structural PE to perform a full load and anchorage analysis for a modular wall-mounted product, covering static load combinations, connection strength, deflection limits, and installation-tolerance cases, with a calculation package, fastener pattern sketches, and a summary letter for your fabrication and installation teams. The wall anchorage capacity and eccentric moment effects from an off-wall modular unit are the most critical items in this analysis, particularly when stud spacing and fastener patterns vary across installation conditions. I will work through all specified load combinations, verify safety factors against current building code practice, and deliver a complete, traceable calculation package your team can rely on for production release. Portfolio: https://www.freelancer.com/u/GridsmithLTD Can you share the CAD files, material specs, and preliminary connection details so I can confirm the analysis scope and PE jurisdiction requirements before we start? This project depends heavily on establishing a clear and defensible load path from the modular unit into the wall system, especially for eccentric loading, installation tolerances, and anchorage reliability. I can help develop the structural verification workflow with focus on anchorage behavior, connection integrity, and serviceability performance instead of only producing simplified stress checks. Here is how I would approach it: • Review the modular frame geometry, material specs, and wall attachment strategy • Develop static load combinations including gravity, eccentricity, connection forces, and overload conditions • Evaluate anchorage capacity, stud-spacing sensitivity, and fastener-pattern performance • Check frame strength, local connection behavior, and serviceability deflection limits • Assess uneven fastening and installation-tolerance scenarios You will get: • Structured calculation package with clear assumptions and load paths • Anchorage and connection verification results • Deflection and safety-factor evaluation • Sketches/markups for fastener layouts and reinforcement recommendations • Summary document for fabrication and installation teams I typically use ANSYS, STAAD, or equivalent structural-analysis workflows depending on geometry complexity and required detail level. Once you share the CAD files, material data, and intended installation conditions, I can review the structural configuration and outline the analysis approach immediately.
