Hello, First of all, need to find out all loads which will be impact on the pipe under the water like : pressure outside and pressure inside the pipe and also pressure from wave or water flow. I will start from prepare geometry for Ansys Fluent, from fluent I can extract all forces which impact on the pipe. Then all this forces apply in static structural analysis. Of course if there are will be more than one direction of water flow or water flow will be change it is also needed to include in FEA. For this kind of Finite element analysis must be some standard which describe all safety factor and stress limit, for example here in EU we have EN 1999-1-1 for aluminum, or EN 1993-8-1 for steel and etc. So have experience with this kind of standard.
