I am getting a few emails complaining that the lost password link is not sending out an email. I am sure it is but the people emailing are not checking their junk folders, but I need it checked and if need be fixed. [url removed, login to view] is the link, so the folders are obvious. It may be that the recent system wide password change is causing a disconnect. The email is supposed to be sent via email, so I assume it is old school and needs an email log in to work. No matter what the email address is, [url removed, login to view] will access it. If this is the issue we will need to set it up the email address used with a unique password because we change ours every few weeks.
Since the minimum purchase is $30 and the above should be no more than an hour I need to you to spend a couple of hours figuring our how to do away with the stupid registration system now in place. The moron that built is assumed we would only deal with Canadians. Anyone must be able to buy advertiser, which means not need to register to do so. 90% of our emails about not being able to buy advertising are from non-canadians, tens of thousands of dollars so far. The deal is everyone needs to be able to buy banner ads, but only Canadians can get free listings and upgrade those listings. The payment system works fine, so we do not want it messed with, so I think the easiest fix would be to create an entirely new, paypal based shopping cart immediately because with PP we can simply use the existing page HTML but place unique item IDs in it that can be purchased directly. To change over ECSuite, our primary CC payment processor will take a lot of talking with their tech people so can wait until the volume justifies the effort.
If you don't get this, let me know. Basically, I need a report back that says you can handle it or not, and how long you estimate it will take.
