I have a flash file (fla) which basically contains images which are presented to the user in a rotating manner with transition effects. Text is also displayed in co-ordination with these effects.
It is completely XML driven. And is currently limited to 6 images, which is not a problem.
However, there are two problems that need resolving. Number one there needs to be a preloader for the first image -- you know the usual progress bar. Once the first image has been downloaded - it should be displayed. However, and this is important -- there should be some actionscript which monitors the downloading of the next image and ONLY AFTER the next image in line has been downloaded, should it be displayed. And so forth. So, we don't transition to the next image until it has been downloaded. This is key. At the moment, if the connection is a little slow, it will transition to a blank canvas. Not good. Even if the user is stuck on the same image for 10+ seconds -- no problem.
That's it all. These should be simple for anyone with Flash know-how. I will provide the xml, fla, images etc. and you just need to make the changes above.
