This project involves creating a database with certain design elements (e.g., scans of carpet, flooring, curtain, and countertop samples) and displaying those elements in a virtual room that is distilled from an actual photograph of a room mockup. (I suspect that this will simply involve creating a vector graphic from the photograph and specifying the regions in which to apply the certain decor elements from the database. When someone clicks on the name of one of nine decor packages, the application will dynamically recreate the room with the indicated design elements. We would like to preserve the ability to periodically update the decor packages, so the web application should be somewhat flexible in this respect (even if it requires the intervention of a programmer to affect any such updates). Strong preference for an individual/group that has done this sort of rendering work in the past. We will also have a more extensive project in the future involving 3D rendering of home interiors using actual floorplans and applying the decor packages. This should be considered a test for that project.
