Website Design Project for a High Profile Client – Howard University Homecoming 2007
This is a project to design a website for Howard Homecoming 2007. The university funds one every year, so this may turn into a residual contract. Howard Homecoming is a pretty big deal and is a huge mechanism for major sponsors and the university to promote / celebrate its “excellence” related to school spirit and years of continued education through the use of their annual homecoming events as an entertainment outlet. Each year the event brings out numerous celebrities and over 4000 patrons…and that amount grows every year. Please refer to their site from last year to get an idea of how big of a deal this really is: [url removed, login to view] & the university's main website: [url removed, login to view] for more info on the college.
-A flash intense project, there needs to be movement throughout the site. If you take a look at last year's homecoming website, you can get an idea of what we mean by movement. The site needs to be eye catching, captivating, enticing, clean, graphically intense, and appealing…but nothing similar to last year's website. Please use your own creative liberty.
-Joomla Content Management System a must so that the university can drop in content /pictures/videos ongoing and last minute after the site is complete.
-7-8 pages of content to include videos, pictures, and text.
-Client would like to discover the feasibility of having live streaming video on the website from some of the events that are occurring real time throughout homecoming weekend. Any information you can offer as to the feasibility of this will be considered in the final value of the bid price.
-The school colors are blue, red, and white…in that order. So, more blue than red than white needs to be the color scheme for the site.
-There is a short timeline on this (20 July is the completion deadline), therefore need an estimate within the next 1-2 days.
NOTE1: This project will be owned and operated by Howard University and therefore cannot have any identifiable branding or logos non-associated with Howard University on any of the contained pages. However, as the developer, you may promote your work via portfolio, periodical, or media.
NOTE2: Aside from having the most reasonable bid amount for this project…for consideration, must also be able to send examples of your work or a portfolio via url link.
