We have a site that compares all sorts of credit cards based on their dollar value.
Our working site is up and can be seen at: [url removed, login to view]
Please notice that we try to show there is a yearly average reward value of $416 / year, we are having trouble clearly showing where this number comes from. This number is an average yearly value that comes from:
using card 2 for spending on restaurants
using card 1 for spending on all other categories
combining all the spending bonuses, fees, bonuses for signing up, converting any points to dollar values, and then averaging it out based on the number of years the card will be used. In this case the card will be used 10 years so a sign up bonus of $50 has a $5 impact on the average yearly reward.
We have a team of talented coders, we do not need implementation. We need help with the design and user experience, specifically trying to communicate how we generate the yearly reward values. Often I hear the numbers seem too good to be true or made up, but they are very carefully calculated and very real. I have attached a work in progress to illustrate our latest attempts at clarifying the average yearly rebate / reward.
We have much more work needed to be completed, but this is our most pressing problem and would be happy to issue more work if this problem can be tackled effectively :)
Thank you for your time
