Models, API stubs and UI flows implicitly define endpoints, roles and state transitions, but they’re often incomplete or optimistic. If you just scaffold Laravel endpoints blindly, you end up with mismatches and bugs that surface late. The way I d approach this is a structured recovery pass first. Map every screen and model to the backend responsibilities it assumes, identify what is missing or contradictory and lock the contract before rebuilding. From there, the Laravel backend can be rebuilt cleanly with proper auth, roles, migrations and APIs that actually match the app instead of fighting it.
