That is a sensible first release. To answer your closing question directly: I would leave direct messaging and reels out of the MVP. Chat needs real-time infrastructure and short video needs transcoding and a CDN, and both would roughly double this build. Get the feed and follow graph working with real users first, then add whichever one they actually ask for.
