Game Design: Children's Problem-Solving Game

I’m looking for a programmer to design a fun, child-friendly game that looks professional but is easily accessible by children. The game will allow children to explore and learn. I am a researcher at the University of Chicago and I’m planning to use the game in an experiment about how children learn. I will need a few different versions of the game for my experiment. I’m looking for someone who is flexible, collaborative, and who communicates frequently. I will need ongoing support as I try the game out with children and may need to adapt features of the game depending on how children engage with it. Therefore, I’m looking for a longer-term collaborative partnership in this game design. I already have many of the game specifics planned. This will be an online adaptation of a game I played in-person with children. It’s a simple game that involves figuring out which keys unlock a set of locks. Children will drag keys around the screen and test them on locks to see which unlock the locks. I have another similar game with objects that children test on a box to see which objects make the box work. Game features would need to include: 1. Flexibility in choosing which version of the game each child plays 2. A user interface where I could select the game versions (and possibly view/download gameplay data – see point 5 below) 3. Ability to play the game with children via live Zoom sessions 4. Ability to play the game independently by sending participants a link 5. Data collected for each gameplay session Coding could occur in whatever language you are comfortable with. There is no specific place where the project would be hosted – we can discuss options.
