I need a Windows-side DLL that injects into the Left 4 Dead 2 client, hooks the internal routine that prints chat and quietly writes each intercepted line to a .dll log file before handing control back to the game. Required behaviour • Export a single entry point that the injector can call; inside, locate the ShowChatMessage (or equivalent) function, install the detour, and keep a clean pointer to the original. • Hook_ShowChatMessage(text, player, team) must run exactly once per chat event, write the string to the log with an absolute timestamp plus the player’s numeric ID, then invoke the untouched engine call so the on-screen chat still appears. • Log format extension must be “.dll” exactly as specified, one record per line. • No other client behaviour may be altered; stability is critical. Please deliver: the compiled 64-bit DLL, full C++ source (Visual Studio-ready), and a concise README listing any third-party libraries you used (MinHook, Microsoft Detours, etc.) along with load instructions. If you prefer a different hooking library just make sure it is open-source and redistributable with the project. I’ll confirm by launching a local server, sending a few test messages, and verifying both on-screen output and correct timestamped log entries including my Steam ID.
