I’m looking for an expert game designer to create concise, well-described game ideas that turn my everyday life into a game. The games should motivate me to complete work and professional tasks, resist temptations like youtube, and nudge me toward daily healthy habits. The problem with current life gamification apps like Habitica is there's no choices or way to lose. What I want: • 2-4+ focused prototype ideas presented in a short design doc or slide deck. • For each game idea, outline the core loop, win/lose states, progression model, and how real-world tasks map to in-game actions. • Explain the psychology, why the game mechanic would be fun and motivating • Keep scopes small enough that a junior solo developer could build a first prototype version in weeks or less (Example games I like slay the spire, chess, vampire survivors. Categories I also like: idle games. Power fantasy games.) In your application give evidence for you being an expert at game design and say how many simple game ideas you can develop for the budget.

HIII!, I actually suffered a similar problem since last year, and I cant find any app that actually goes beyond being a glorified task manager. I have worked personally on indie game projects being the director of the game ideas and mechanics so I have experience with identifying the key parts for a fun game loop and balance mechanics. I woul love to share my ideas with you and reach a better solution for the problem that affects not just you and me but many other people and even help if you are planning to actually develop these ideas.

⚠️ IF YOU'RE NOT HAPPY YOU DON’T PAY ⚠️ I think we’re a strong fit for this because you’re describing actual game design, not another habit tracker with XP pasted on top. I’d design 4 focused concepts around meaningful choices, consequences, and genuine loss conditions. For example, one could use Slay the Spire-style daily deckbuilding where completed work earns playable actions while distractions strengthen the enemy; another could turn the week into a strategic resource-management game where avoiding difficult tasks creates permanent trade-offs rather than simply breaking a streak. Each concept would include the core loop, task-to-game mapping, win/lose conditions, progression, temptation mechanics, psychological rationale, and a tightly scoped prototype specification a junior developer could realistically implement within weeks. Multiple 5-star reviews on game development, gameplay systems, and interactive software projects. I can deliver 4 distinct, prototype-ready game concepts within the proposed budget. Regards, Chris

You’ve identified the main weakness in most life-gamification apps: there are rewards, but few meaningful choices or real consequences. For this budget, I can develop 3 focused game concepts, each with a core loop, win/lose conditions, progression, real-world task mapping, and a brief explanation of why the mechanics should stay motivating. I’ll keep every concept small enough for a solo developer to prototype within weeks, drawing inspiration from games like Slay the Spire and Vampire Survivors without copying them. Would you like the 3 concepts to use completely different game mechanics?

Dear Client, I’m an experienced developer with 10+ years of experience, with strong knowledge of game mechanics, progression systems, interactive design, and behavioral feedback loops. I understand you want several small game concepts that transform real-world work, focus, and healthy habits into meaningful gameplay with genuine choices, consequences, win/lose states, progression, and replayability—not just a checklist system like Habitica. I can develop **4 focused game concepts** within the requested scope, each including the core loop, decision-making, win/lose conditions, progression, real-world mappings, motivational psychology, and a prototype-friendly implementation scope. I can structure the ideas around influences such as Slay the Spire, chess, Vampire Survivors, idle systems, and power-fantasy progression while keeping each prototype feasible for a junior solo developer. Hi there, Understanding of the project: You need 2–4+ concise game concepts that turn everyday work, professional tasks, distraction avoidance, and healthy habits into engaging gameplay. The key is going beyond basic points and streaks by introducing meaningful choices, progression, and real win/lose consequences. Your preference for mechanics inspired by Slay the Spire, Chess, Vampire Survivors, idle games, and power-fantasy systems gives a strong direction. My solution: I can develop 4 focused prototype concepts, each with a clear core loop, real-world-to-game mapping, win/lose states, progression system, motivation psychology, and a practical MVP scope suitable for a junior solo developer. I will focus especially on decision-making, risk/reward, temptation management, and satisfying progression rather than simple habit tracking. I have experience designing gameplay systems, progression loops, gamification mechanics, and prototype-ready concepts, and can structure the ideas into a clear, actionable design document. Questions: 1. Should the concepts target one unified game system or four completely different game formats? 2. Do you want phone-first mechanics, desktop-friendly concepts, or both? 3. How many total ideas would you like me to deliver within the $10–15 budget? I can deliver 4 strong, prototype-ready concepts within the requested scope. Please initiate chat with me here so we can discuss the direction and I can get started. Warm Regards Amit Ranjan

Hi there, I completely agree with your critique of standard productivity apps like Habitica. Without real choices, meaningful trade-offs, or a genuine fail state, gamification quickly becomes a glorified to-do list with zero dopamine. Drawing directly from roguelikes, idle games, and deckbuilders (like Slay the Spire and Vampire Survivors), gamification only works when there is actual risk and strategy involved.

Hello, I’m Adam, a Game Designer & Developer with 7+ years of experience designing interactive systems, progression mechanics, reward loops, and engaging user experiences. Your references—Slay the Spire, chess, Vampire Survivors, idle games, and power-fantasy progression—provide several strong directions. For example, real-world productivity could determine resources available for a short roguelike run, while distractions such as YouTube create actual in-game consequences rather than simply losing arbitrary points. I’ll prioritize concepts that are genuinely fun as games first, with productivity naturally integrated into their mechanics rather than feeling like a task manager disguised with levels and badges. I’d be happy to discuss my relevant game/system design experience and then turn the strongest directions into a concise design document suitable for prototyping. Best regards, Adam
