I need ten (10) short chapters of 500-600 words each written for a book project. You will need to be comfortable writing about US-oriented political/geopolitical/sociological matters.
You must be a native and articulate English speaker for this project (or so extremely fluent in English that your English grammar and vocabulary skills would impress or maybe even intimidate the average American!).
These are NOT web articles or blog content; no SEO factors are needed or desired. Conscious keyword placement and/or a "web content style" would actually be a very BAD thing for this job. You should think of this task as being very much like writing liberal editorial opinion pieces for a major newspaper like the New York Times or Washington Post. That is the style, content type and tone I'm after. A summary/review of facts, with a slight bit of liberal attitude thrown in.
The subject is recent US political history involving the George W. Bush era. In most cases there will be plenty of easy researched info online on these chapter topics. However, some chapters will require a little bit more research time than others. For other chapters, you might be able to simply pull most facts from Wikipedia articles and reword them---but you should not depend 100% on that because we all know how dry and neutral Wiki entries are (not to mention how thin on facts they can be). Best will be to Google each chapter title/topic that I give you and pull facts from several or many sites, rewording and combining it all into a nice multi-paragraph chapter that has cohesive flow. Again, the objective is book quality or major newspaper/magazine quality, not web quality.
I will also need reference footnotes added for quotes and facts that correlate to URLs you pulled facts from. The format for those should be bracketed numbers like this -->
Sorry to spell out the obvious, but you absolutely must create unique text. No copy/pasted material will be accepted (the one exception will be important quotes by Bush and others). All text will be run through Copyscape.
I will want to see one test chapter before agreeing to the whole task. This protects your time as well as mine. I'm new to [url removed, login to view] so I'm a little unclear on how this is done (milestones?), but I'm sure we'll work it out.
If it goes well, there will be more 10-chapter jobs available to you if you want them. I've attached a sample chapter that demonstrates the general style and minimum quality I'm looking for.
