We need to do a full assessment of the current tracking on our website. We use Shopify but all tracking mechanism are using Google Analytics, Tag Manager.
Our Issues are:
1. Display Ads in Google Adwords are currently taking products from the feed we uploaded; the feed might have issues and is a challenge for us due to volatile changes and ongoing updates.
2. Google - e-commerce product ID (it’s not getting the parameter - it’s not getting tag manager from google analytics - is sending through custom dimensions) - there is a gap in tracking
3. Google AdWords cannot update Ads dynamically because the feed from analytics and tag manager are not relaying the information; the client is using google tag manager to track products
Google Tag Manager fire off perimeters - Tag manager issues to communicate with Analytics and AdWords. There is double or inaccurate data showing.
The tracking is set up like a hybrid system; -we have UTM's set up and general google auto scripts that override.
Our mission is to:
1. Understand the current tracking set up better -we need a report outlining the findings
2. We need to see how we can fix any gaps in communication between the data feed - tag manager - analytics and Adwords
