Hello, I’m very interested in supporting your documentary research project. I’m an Arabic/English bilingual professional with strong online research skills, and I’m particularly comfortable with the kind of detailed, persistent searching required to locate information and hard-to-find sources across both Arabic and English. I can research beyond standard Google results and use different search terms, Arabic variations, archives, institutional websites, historical databases, YouTube, Vimeo, stock libraries, and other specialist sources to locate relevant footage, photographs, news material, and archival content. I’m also comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini to develop better search strategies, translate and expand search terms, identify potential sources, and speed up the research process while still verifying information independently. I can also organise each result clearly in Google Sheets/Excel, including the source link, description, date, creator/archive, available quality, licensing information, price, rights-holder contact details, and relevance notes. I’m highly organised, detail-oriented, persistent, and comfortable working independently on time-sensitive research requests. I would also be happy to contact archives, museums, institutions, photographers, filmmakers, or rights holders when additional information or licensing details are required. Please message me to discuss further details and start right away. Regards, Alya Salah

My background in visual research ensures I understand the nuances of the task. Hi, I'm a native Arabic speaker based in the Netherlands, fluent in English and Dutch, and I work daily with AI research tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) for exactly this kind of search-beyond-page-one work. For every asset I'd log link, description, date, creator/archive, resolution/4K availability, licensing, price and rights-holder contact in a shared Google Sheet, updated as I go so you can review in real time. I'm comfortable searching Arabic-language archives, Gulf/Saudi institutional sources, Arabic YouTube and regional TV archives that are invisible to English-only searches, and contacting rights holders in Arabic. To show how I work: tell me one concrete item you're currently struggling to find and I'll send back a short sourced list within 24 hours, free. Available to start immediately. I propose $250 for the first month with a weekly check-in.
