We are a small startup based in rural Australia. Our company specialises in building\developing touchscreen devices, and we have limited time and resources to develop graphics and interfaces for our products. We have a lot of clients that are after this sort of interface, so if we are happy with the quality of work and the price, it is likely that we will want repeat business.
This particular job is for a 46" Samsung transparent LCD kiosk, used for showcasing products in retail environments. The kiosk chassis has a built in (hi spec) media PC running Windows 7. It has a PCI graphics card and internal audio system including amplifier. The kiosk's touch-screen hardware is supplied to us from VisualPlanet. The transparent LCD has a native resolution of 768x1366, and is mounted in a "portrait" position.
It is important that potential applicants understand how transparent screens work, and how to generate images\videos that work well with this type of screen. This interface should be built using HTML-5 architechture.
We require a short video loop to play on the screen whilst there is no user interaction, similar to a screensaver. The content of the video will have a number of key words coming onto the screen in various manners such as fade-in\fade-out, explosions etc., as well as our company logo also featuring in the video.
When a user touches the screen, the kiosk goes to a landing\menu page, allowing them to navigate to four secondary pages to aquire more information. There will need to be some minor animation going from the main menu screen to the following secondary screen and also on returning to the landing page.
Primary page: This is the main landing\menu page.
Secondary Pages: These pages have individual product information on them. There are four secondary pages in total, three having product information, and one having some video media content.
Each secondary page will have information on a particular products (mobile phones), with the transparent screen only allowing visibility of the selected product.
One of the secondary pages will have four video's displayed, where the user touches to play a video. We will be supplying these videos. The video files need to play back in full screen (not tiled, cropped or windowed).
All secondary pages will have a "Back" or "Home" button located in the top right corner and the bottom left corner of the screen to enable the user to get back to the landing page.
After a period of 60 seconds of inactivity, the kiosk will start playing the video loop, with a similar function as a screen saver.
