We have a custom live-cd built using the hosted reconstructor tool found at [url removed, login to view]
Our live-cd is based on Ubuntu 10.04.1 (x86), and we are using gnome.
We need someone to help us create the necessary customization(s) to remove the Ubuntu startup logo with the dots, and replace it with our logo, and some indicator that booting is occurring. Our logo is close to round, so perhaps having do some simple bouncing. Also our logo is red, blue, and white, so we would like the theme to match the logo.
The deliverable would be a package that can be uploaded for addition to our existing project. You can test using your own project at the hosted reconstructor site, we can review what you build, and then the final test would be us adding the changes to our live-cd image.
We will give you a copy of our logo to work with.
In a nutshell we want an uploadable working
wallpaper, and or gdm theme and, or gnome theme -- whichever is necessary to change the ubuntu logo to ours, incorporate some bouncing of our logo to indicate activity during boot, and change ubuntu gnome default colors to match our log.
Note: we have already removed the "install, or run", so our live-cd goes directly to the gnome environment, no logon screen, and no install or run screen.
