I am looking for an eBook editor who can take a PowerPoint or PDF and convert this into a format suitable to be uploaded on to the Amazon store. I am writing an eBook for National 5 mathematics (Scottish qualification system). I plan to write the whole eBook in PowerPoint as this is the easiest software to use for orienting all the necessary text, mathematical formulas, graphs and arrows/shapes etcetera. I intend to save the final eBook as a PDF. I would like to sell the eBook on my own website (where there are no issues with simply selling the PDF) but also on the Amazon store. I need an editor who can take my PowerPoint or PDF and convert this into a format suitable to be uploaded on to the Amazon store - without compromising the layout of all the graphs etcetera - as I understand that just uploading a PDF directly may not work very well. I estimate that there will be about 100 pages in total. Some pages will be much more text-based, whereas others will have more graphs and shapes such as those in the example I have provided. I am concerned that I may spend a lot of time writing this book and then be unable to upload it to the Amazon store, so I am also open to suggestions for alternative software to PowerPoint I could use to write the book that would make the final editing easier. Hi Andrew, I would like to help ensure that your powerpoint document is suitable to be an Amazon Ebook. Essentially what I would do is once you provide me your source file I would convert to PDF and then bring into Adobe InDesign where I would format the document to their specs. Once done I would export as a PDF as well as ePub for you to upload to amazon. I've done this in the past for one client and everything turned out great so I am confident I should have no issues accomplishing the task. Hey Andrew! Thank you for considering my proposal. I suggest to write the book in Word, in order to upload your book into Amazon, you need to follow their guideline and they're near impossible to set properly in PowerPoint and if you decide to change something then PowerPoint will make it even harder. Also importing content from Word to a professional publishing software such as Adobe InDesign is doable but that's not the case with PowerPoint. Bottom line, forget about PP :D.
