I'm seeking a licensed HVAC technician to help replace an old 60K BTU Bryant 90 Plus gas furnace with a new 96% efficiency unit. The job involves using the existing Carrier AC Coil, located in an unfinished basement with ample workspace. To me it looks like 5 hours. Targeting $600-$800. 1 hour - remove old furnace, hang coil 1 hour - clean coil 2 hour - slide new furnace in, connect PVC, Electrical, shorten return 1 hour - confirm gas pressure, turn on/ test. Key tasks include: - Minimal modification to the PVC, with little to none required for the gas line - Shortening the return by 5 inches - Placing the new furnace on risers as the new units are shorter (I can build a platform if needed) While I don't require the technician to clean the coil, I would greatly appreciate it if they could do so while it's accessible. Pls quote separately. I am planning to purchase a Runtru, Rheem or Goodman furnace soon, likely a single stage RunTru. Please provide a quote for labor and any incidental costs. I'm open to the technician supplying a furnace as well. Ideal skills and experience: - Licensed HVAC technician (to insure proper registration) - Experience with gas furnace replacements - Ability to provide quotes for labor and incidental costs - Optionally, the ability to supply a furnace - warranty on installation labor
