Currently, I am in the process of writing a book. I am seeking an artist that can provide an illustration of one or more scenes from my book. The book could be described as an Adventure book with elements of Sci-Fi and Mystery. I do not have files at this time but have included an excerpt below as an example (this is not what I would like illustrated...once I find an artist, I can provide more detail about what I would like drawn...Also, my apologies for any grammar...I am still working with my editor). Excerpt below:
Connie and Conrad Powers entered the makeshift flower shop. The entrance to the storefront appeared to offer all the amenities of an actual flower shop. Dozens of species of flora from baby’s breath to waxflower could be seen perfectly littered amongst the roses and lilies cultivating inside the colorful botanical depository. The affront boasted many orders of plants and flowers. Beyond the floral display, casual observers could see scientists wearing white coats behind large viewing windows working in employee only, high-tech laboratories and clean rooms. Outside onlookers could observe scientists in real-time literally manipulate the laws of nature by producing unnatural genetic plant hybrids. One of Genetic Germinations’ impressive, but deadly freaks of nature was a Venus Flytrap that had been cross-bred with the genes of a Panther Chameleon and a Blue-Ringed Octopus. When the company was asked why they created the deadly hybrid of the carnivorous plant, they simply replied with their arrogant company motto: ‘Because We Can’.
