We are looking for an illustrator with strong technical skills. Preferably someone who works in Adobe Illustrator and who can produce clean vector graphics. This drawing job is mostly technical. The job is to trace and re-interpret existing drawings (a comic book page).
— You shall ignore and erase all: - human characters - animals - the consequence of their presence (footprints, moving objects…) - all texts, phylacteries and the space they take And replace those 'objects' by what is behind it, logically.
In other words; draw the remaining of the background in the same style. This may be achieved by hand but we would rather work with someone who works in illustrator/vector graphics, so we can work on the vector in the (next) production phase and scale them. It’s important that the outline is a simple line, (not the outline of a line) so we can re-work on the brush stroke afterwards.
This post concerns 1 page of a 64 pages comic book, and if the experience is successful and satisfactory to both parties, there would be many more coming after.
Once again, the rule is: reproduce the given comic book page in vector graphics (only black lines, ignore the colors), without any: humans, animals, text, phylacteries/dialogue boxes. You therefore have to create what would exist in the drawing behind those elements. You can find an example below (one single image, but the given work is a full page with several images), as well as the page you should re-draw. Please only apply if you have vector graphics or comic book drawings sample works to show.
