Retouching portraits so they look expensive on Instagram without looking retouched is a lighting and colour problem before it is a Photoshop problem. Here is exactly what I do with your set. 1. Lighting balance first, on the raw file. I bring the exposure to a common baseline and lift the shadow side with a graduated local adjustment, not with the global Fill Light, because Fill Light flattens the face and kills the bone structure you want to keep. 2. Skin-tone correction in Lab, not RGB. I sample a neutral patch in each frame and correct the a/b channels; RGB curves pull the whole image warm or cool and make a warm-toned subject go orange at the highlight edge. This is the single thing that separates a convincing set from a set where every photo has a slightly different skin colour. 3. Sharpness: capture sharpening on the raw, then a light output sharpening at final resolution for Instagram. I do not apply a single sharpening pass at the wrong size - that is what makes Instagram portraits look crunchy. 4. Object and person removal by request. I paint them out with content-aware fill plus a patch pass on the edges, and I match the grain afterwards, because a perfectly smooth removed area on a grainy photo reads as a hole. 5. What I deliberately do not do unless you ask: skin smoothing beyond light blemish work, teeth whitening, and any reshaping. Heavy frequency-separation retouching is exactly what makes photos look AI-generated, which is the one thing your brief rules out. Deliverables: full-resolution edited files, plus a web-sized set colour-matched to each other, in the format you prefer (JPEG, PNG or TIFF). One thing worth knowing: when a set is shot under mixed lighting - window light on one side, warm bulb on the other - per-photo white balance is not enough, because the two sides of the face disagree with each other.
