Assistive Technology Lesson Plan Creation

You are a special education high school teacher. Your classroom has 25 students, some of whom have mild to moderate exceptionalities. You will modify lesson plans for two students with exceptionalities based on the selection of an assistive technology appropriate for each student’s needs. This task provides practice in aligning appropriate assistive technologies to unique and individualized student needs to improve student learning outcomes and track progress toward goals. There are two student scenarios included in this task. The ELA student scenario provides information about Maya, a grade 10 student. The scenario includes academic performance data, an individualized transition plan (ITP), and interests relating to ELA coursework. The math student scenario provides information about Mateo, a grade 12 student. The scenario includes academic performance data, an ITP, and interests relating to math coursework. You will use information from each scenario and the ELA and math lesson plans to create a specially designed instruction plan for each student. The completed specially designed instruction plans will serve as the basis for the two recordings you will create in Task 2, using GoReact to record the instruction. A.
