I need to set up (convert or rewrite) SEO Friendly (static) URL's for a PHP/SQL Server 2008 site hosted on a Windows Server in order to be searchable for Organic Google search results. Currently my URL's are dynamic to ensure faster searching and to accommodate the large database.
The job is for an ecommerce store selling books, with a very large database that changes often.
There are more than 6 million items in the database and I would like them to be search friendly to Google. At the moment only hyperlinked items on the home page are coming up in organic Google searches which is obviously ineffective as the database has millions of titles/ authors/ ISBN numbers which are not appearing.
For example, the search results need to look similar to the results that come up for Amazon for a book title searched.
Please ensure you can script this for a dedicated WINDOWS server running php/sql Server 2008. I also require references to see previous work of this nature.
If possible, I would also like a tool that enables me to do this on my own in future.
