Need Help Installing vcRemote on Mac to build Xamarin iphone app

I'm installing vcRemote on Mac so we can build our Xamarin iphone app for distribution to the itunes store. We are currently running into an error in the installation process and we need expertise to resolve the issue. so far the issue in detail resolves around an error with npm not finding a a file necessary in vcremotes installation process. node.js version 8.11.3. npm version 5.6.0.
