I need an experienced Java programmer to work with me on a card game project, (game rules will be disclosed after I select a programmer). It needs to be able to run multiple sessions of the game at one time. The game sessions will look and run somewhat like yahoo games - holdem poker. Script must allow players must create an account that has a mini profile and one thumbnail pic of the members choice. All players history like games played/won and overall earned points will be stored in the profiles and players will be ranked. There will be an entry window (lounge) when players first login that will list all the players that are online and show game sessions that are in progress, it will also have a small chat window (shoutbox). I would like to have a message board/forum also. I was thinking that maybe I should use an open source type freebie member profile/messaging and forum script and just focus on developing the game. If I go this route I need the game to run somehow with the same login as the forum/member area, not sure if anyone has any other member management/messaging scripts we could use. I know there is a lot of un-answered questions. I need to create a working relationship with a dependable, honest and experienced java programmer. Basically I'm just looking for input from people who may have been involved in something like this as to the time it will take, rough cost estimates and stuff. If this project goes as planned there will be future additions, tweaks and lots of cool stuff going on.
