The main goal of the project is to design a complete e-book converter and an e-book reader. which converts different types of files to .epub format and other formats that works with different OS (i.e android). Converter Specifications : • Converts from word files , .txt and .pdf files to .epub • Special converting standards to each reader ( Sony reader , kindle , iphone , ipad, PC , Galaxy …etc) • Ability to add tables , links , pictures , videos , colored text , different font sizes and styles • Ability to add Index , table of contents and chapters • Compatible with Arabic characters and alignment • Add cover image Reader Software -Types: • Desktop • Apple Devices • BlackBerry • Android Systems o Specifications: • Account + registration • Support Arabic Characters • Support all kinds of multimedia ( pictures , video ) • Comes in two languages version : English , Arabic • Ability to download books and read them offline • Bookmarks + Automatic book marks • Sync book downloads and purchasing automatically to the account • Integrated library within the reader ( no need to go to the website to download books ) • Categorized library ( Top 10 , Top 10 free , Top 10 Paid , New , Best Selling … etc) • Ability to change font size + style while reading • Browse book by chapter or page number • Find words within book • Ability to search some words to find their meaning or detailed info about them on Wikipedia or Google. • Link account to facebook or twitter account, to share current readings or quotes. • Awards ( the more you read or share your reads you get free books or discounts )
