We are looking for a one-time Server optimization. We have a Dedicated Server with a hosting company, which is running Red Hat Fedora Core 6, Apache 2.2.4, PHP mySQL [url removed, login to view], Java 1.5 and red5 Flash Media Server 0.6.2 on a dual-core server with 2 gigs physical memory.
We are interested in having the system optimized for maximum performance of the Fedora, Apache maximized for low memory usage balanced with high volume, and a Java classpath error fixed when attempting to load our red5 server in standalone mode (this is a java classpath problem in red5 we think, which will not allow us to start the red5 server from it's shell script, we have to use ant server to load it from an SSH shell at present). The red5 should also be set to load at server startup. All unnecessary modules that are currently loading from Fedora and Apache removed from startup. Basically, we want the server maximized for the absolute best performance of the Flash Media server handling numerous connections, with the most overhead memory we can achieve without a huge loss of Apache performance.
