Hello. I hope you can help me with a menu/launcher application. I imagine Java is the best platform, but not required as it will only be run on Windows machines.
I need a simple, elegant, visually appealing menu system to launch a batch file (that I create).
The batch file will launch a piece of software called Air Manager in tandem with X-Plane 11. The intent is to build a menu system that will allow technically challenged aviation students and their instructors to EASILY launch the simulator with desired criteria through a graphical menu system.
The criteria for which file to launch depends on a number of factors, such as: Aircraft type and configuration, location and runway, weather and time of day.
These criteria are easy enough for me to save and launch through a batch file, but I don't want the student digging through files and folders to find the file they need.
I want them to launch the menu, choose the parameters and click "Go Fly"
Branding would be nice, and a configuration editor for the tech staff to allow the creation and addition of certain elements that may be needed for training.
I can provide any type of graphics if needed (aircraft, runway, equipment icons, etc.)
