Compensation: $145,000 - 170,000 Annually
Description. Client, a growing and established nationwide company in Beaverton, OR is seeking a Remote Lead Software Development Engineer. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this search assignment. The company offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, annual bonus and Stock/RSU's. This position is 100% Remote. They are looking for a leader/manager who enjoys mentoring and has technical architecture/strategy experience. This is a new team and a new product line that is being created, there is a lot of growth opportunity including leadership. Responsibilities:
Lead Software Development Engineer will help design and architect applications and services to support the business
Review your team's work and provide recommendations via code reviews and discussion
Explore new technologies and validate concepts to help your team choose the right tool for the job
Utilize predominantly scrum methodology and ensure the team conducts the appropriate ceremonies
Drive accountability and quality of team deliverables
Ensure appropriate monitoring and instrumentation is implemented for production systems
Advocate for quality standards and work with your team to create robust testing capabilities
As a Lead Software Development Engineer, you will work with your team to deliver robust products
Manage a team of software engineers and quality assurance engineers
Be an effective bridge between Product and the rest of your team
Environment includes JavaScript/react through APIs interact with backend systems, designing APIS, created databases, traditional SQL, patterns around extraction of data from DWH for BI and analysis
Requirements
B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field (or equivalent work experience)
10 years of writing software
At least 8-10+ years of software development experience
At least 5+ years of guiding and leading teams
Microservice architecture, API design, design patterns, data base management CI/CD and Cloud experience would be ideal (they use AWS)
Full stack is a plus, but backend is most important
Experience with Python or other backend development experience such as Node.JS, Golang or .NET Core
Cloud architecture is a requirement - could be Azure or GCP or AWS
Building and delivering in the cloud
Technical side on how to tune through cloud services, cloud architecture, serverless paradigms
Application layer - Python/AWS lambda, microservice, event driven architecture and APIs interacting with backend architecture
TDD is a plus, design patterns
Design patterns, microservice architecture
Strong architecture experience and experience managing full stack team - must have Cloud, any Polygot background; Strong API/microservices
Agile methodology experience; Kanban is a plus
