We have a fairly easy project for somebody who understands how to build a shopping cart and a checkout system. The graphics team has already designed a layout, logo, navigation, and colors so you will have an easy time. You will have a web designer help integrate your store, shopping cart, and a checkout system. We have used scriptlance a couple of times last year and had a great experience.
There will be about 100 T-Shirts for sale. There will be T-Shirts in 3-4 different sizes (S/M/L/XL). Some T-Shirts will have a few colors and some will not. (Example: Blue, Red, Black) They sell only T-Shirts, nothing else.
T-Shirts will have to be added monthly (maybe 5-10 new T-Shirts). In regards to the new T-Shirts, if you can program a simple backend area on the website for somebody to upload a picture of the new T-Shirt and a description about available colors and sizes and a button that will add the new T-Shirt to the shopping cart, that will be great. This will let the company update their website themselves. This may or may not be easy to do. So this will be optional and a project bonus will be available for you if you decide to do it.
The shopping cart will simply send an e-mail with billing information to an e-mail address. We will not be using a secure certificate or plugging in to an accounting system. Just a secure form mailer that sends the shopping cart, billling, and customer info to an e-mail address so somebody can process payments.
Project will be open for your ideas and opinion on the best ways to engineer the T-Shirt store, shopping cart, and checkout. After all, you are the professional!
Thank you for your time!
