JavaScript Mac error

Please find Word document attached with code.
This code works fine on a PC - on any IE version.
The problem manifests itself on Internet Explorer version 5.0 and above on a MAC.
Without the call to the JavaScript the page loads fine on a MAC but obviously without the navigation.
However, if you include the call to the JavaScript then Internet Explorer crashes and also the Operating System halts until you 'force quit'.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
