The website has been down for several months after a failed design attempt by a previous Scriptlance programming team. I want to bring it up to date now. I am happy with the existing template. The basic website objective is to encourage browsing among categorised e-documents in PDF, LIT and similar formats, and to download them. A few downloads will require payment (via PayPal/Moneybookers, NOT using an ecommerce solution). There are links to Amazon etc too.
These are the main tasks:
-Upgrade Joomla and the website
-Completely remove all Virtuemart extensions/references
-Install current Docman extension and some Docman related extensions
-Reorganise content framework (there is only test content to work with so this should be an easy task)
-Organise and update other relevant extensions on the website, including security and backup.
-Create minor page logos
-Tidy up and organise the website
You must be prepared to make suggestions to me. Above all you must communicate with me BEFORE you make any changes so that we know to expect the same result. Communication will be by email.
You should be well experienced with up to date Joomla development. One of the core elements of the website is Docman, so please tell me about your Docman experience in websites with hundreds of edocuments.
The previous programmers did a lot of hard work but just could not get the job finished. I expect the selected programmer to build on that previous work and to complete the job quickly and inexpensively.
