I am looking for a competent Technical Writer to create documentation for a Joomla! component and matching plugin that allows webmasters to hook Joomla! websites to Amazon CloudFront.
The system needs clear user documentation with screenshots on how to use it.
* Must be native English writer
* Must be able to figure out how to use the plugin / component without documentation (goes without saying, but I will help)
* Must be able to setup an Amazon AWS account to document the account setup process. They require a valid credit card, I believe.
* Must have Firefox and be able to install the S3Fox extension for managing Cloudfront
Familiarity with S3 / Cloudfront and Joomla! a plus - but if you can figure it out, then that's great.
The deliverable is an MS Word 2000 (.doc) or OpenOffice (.odt) document suitable for bundling with the software as the core user documentation.
I am looking for step my step instructions, with screenshots on how to:
- Setup your AWS Account
- Install the Plugin
- Install the Component
- Setup CloudFront (including buckets and distributions) utilizing either S3Fox or the Amazon web interface to S3
- find and copy the keys from AWS into the extensions
- Complete all other setup and activation requirements
I will provide a test account for you to install as many blank Joomla! 1.5 sites as you need.
Please provide samples of previous documentation you've written.
Please let me know if you could do a Camtasia video as well, though that is not a requirement for the project.
