We are an industrial automation company. We currently have a requirement for On-Line Low Point Marking machine. Essentially it is an automatic machine to measure Radial and Lateral runouts of front & rear, front & rear diameter, Width and inset from the wheel, which is used in commercial vehicle of four wheelers. Runouts are measured with the help of LVDTs with reference to encoder interfaced to the DAQ system. Compute first harmonic from the measured average radial runout values and then mark the low point of the first harmonic amplitude on the wheel by means of hard marking. After completion of hard marking, the wheel is unloaded from the fixture by pneumatic actuator. Positioning accuracy is achieved through a servomotor and encoder coupled with spindle unit. Loading and unloading conveyors with stoppers are attached to the measuring station and they are gravity roller conveyors. Unloading conveyor is segregating the wheels based on the results. Sequence of operation is controlled through a PLC and DAQ system. The operator interface is through highly interactive Graphical User Interface (GUI). Pneumatic actuators are used to perform all movements.
We have the requirement to develop the GUI. We already have the source code in Visual Basic. This source code needs to be converted to LabVIEW.
