Legal treatment in front of the UPWORK platform.
I hired a freelancer through them, who was given the option to report work by the hour.
After I stopped employing him (in March 2020), he continued to report hours that he worked for me, even though I had no contact with him anymore, and he did not provide me with any service, so for a year. Thus he stole a total of about $ 8000, by false reporting, fraud.
When I approached them to ask for a refund for the money they charged from my account, they decided to treat it as a “dispute” with the freelancer, rather than as a theft from my account.
They asked him to return the money to me.
Of course he did not return the money he stole, so they tried to escape their responsibility to keep my credit card, nor was there any procedure that asked me to confirm the hours.
And so it happened that I did not get a job, they charged my credit card automatically.
I'm looking for a lawyer who believes he can get them to return the stolen money, in exchange for 25% of the amount Money will be returned.
An amount that can reach $ 2000 or more.
I believe that by putting pressure on them, they will not want to go to court, and in negotiations they will return the money.
Please contact me only if you accept my offer, do not offer me payment by the hour or for documents.
